I am a practising Speech & language therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Guest Lecturer, Podcaster and Author.

Qualifying as a Speech & Language Therapist in 2008, I started out working across an acute service and community neurological conditions team. Treating people with single incident difficulties and progressive illnesses, from diagnosis through to palliation. I then moved into an inpatient neuro-rehabilitation service where we also treated people with behaviours that challenge following their brain injury. in 2015, I moved into a role that has a mixture of inpatient rehabilitation and long-term disability management for people with acquired brain injuries or progressive neurological conditions. The people we support often have complex needs, for example tracheostomies, ventilator dependency, severe physical impairments or behaviours that challenge, requiring support from a range of health professionals. I enjoy working within a really close and creative MDT who are all committed to a patient-centred, values-based approach to achieving the best quality of life for those we support.
